When I moved to New York City, I bought a new pair of glasses and earrings.
Then I saw a tattoo supply business pop up on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 14th Street.
A few days later, I was looking for a new set of glasses.
I found one for $10,000, but the price was so low I wanted a second set.
I contacted the tattoo supply guy, who told me I was the perfect candidate for a $5,000 tattoo.
“We are here to help you get your new pair,” he said.
I didn’t want to let go of my glasses, so I got the next set for $100,000.
I called and emailed and called, but it didn’t seem to work.
I got a new one for a third of what I paid.
I tried again, and this time the company responded with a better offer.
So, I called again, but this time my call was cut short.
The tattoo supply store was out of new pairs, and they had a few pieces I wanted for a tattoo.
I was stuck.
“That’s great,” I said.
“I’ll give you a $10k tattoo, but what do I get for it?”
I looked for a website that would sell me new glasses.
There were a few companies on the Internet, but I didn’t see any reputable ones.
Eventually, I found a company called Inkster, which was a little more reputable than others.
It sells new glasses to new clients, but not for the new pair I had in my wallet.
Inkster’s price was cheaper than the tattoo supplies, and it was also easier to get.
My second new pair was a pair of black leather sneakers that I wanted to give to a friend.
The store that bought the pair said they would be $3,000 to $4,000 for new pairs of shoes.
I gave them $2,000 and paid $2.50 for a second pair.
Later that day, I went to the tattoo store again, this time with the same person.
The guy there told me they were still on the phone with Inkster.
“That was great,” he told me.
“You can pay $3K for a pair.”
I gave him the new shoes, which he said were a new size for me, and he asked for $3k more.
Finally, I told him I had enough money and would give him a $4k pair.
I put the shoes on, but he still didn’t show up.
The next day, Inkster called me and said they were about to send me a pair.
They were ready to ship, but Inkster wanted me to give them my old pair, which I was going to give him back.
But Inkster had an additional problem.
They couldn’t sell me the old pair.
So, I handed them my new pair and told them I wanted the new ones back.
Inkster said, “No, we have to charge you $4K to ship it back.
You’ll have to pay for that.”
“You’re not shipping the new thing back,” I told them.
It was only later that I learned Inkster wasn’t the only tattoo supply shop that was being scammed.
I also learned that others had been scammed by Tattster.
It was not a big deal, but at the time, I didn.
For now, I’m sticking to my original plan.
I’ll never pay a tattoo shop to sell me my new glasses again.
But it’s not a good idea to be on the receiving end of a scam.
Like any good scammer, Tattster will tell you how much he thinks your money is worth.
However, Tattsters word game is so bad that it may hurt your chances of actually getting your money back.
Tattster has a long history of being dishonest.
In his The Best Tattoos of the World , Tattster wrote, “I would tell you a story of a person who was in a hurry to get their new pair.
Their new pair cost $10K to make.
They had just got the pair and had just left their apartment when they went to go pick it up.
They arrived at the tattoo shop with $2K in their wallet, but when they arrived, Tatt was waiting.
Tatt said to them, “You’ve got a lot of cash, so you’ll have a lot more to spend than I do.”
They had no idea what they were paying for.
Tatt was so arrogant, he didn’t realize the pair was overpriced.
At the time I wrote The Best Tattoo of the Year, Tatt used a different technique to scam people.
He would call someone to try and get a $1,000 tip.
The caller would have to call and talk to someone Tatt had personally known, then
