Gemini Tattoo Artist Talks about His Tattoo and His Story article Geminis Tattoo artist, Mike Gemini, tells ABC News’ “20/20” that he doesn’t know how he got the tattoo on his arm.
Gemini’s arm was pierced when he was in the army.
He says he was deployed for about two years, but says it was a pretty long time.
“It was the longest time I was deployed,” he said.
“I had to do a lot of pain relief and a lot going on.
You go to the hospital, you come back, you get a second tattoo, and then you go to work again.”
He has a tattoo on the side of his arm that says, “Gemini.”
“I think it means everything to me,” Gemini said.
He says he thought it would be a nice gesture.
“But it turned out to be a great idea, I think it’s a great symbol.
I was just in a situation where I had a lot to deal with, and it was just the right thing to do,” he explained.”
It really meant a lot.”
A month later, the tattoo artist received a phone call from the Army asking him to give them his number.
The tattoo artist says he has no idea why the call was made.
“They said, ‘We need your phone number, we’re calling you because you’re going to be in our hospital tomorrow,'” Gemini recalled.
“And then they said, I’m going to need you to get in touch with the hospital.'”
After the tattoo, Gemini says he’s in shock.
“At first, I was like, ‘Well, what do you mean I’m gonna have to go to my mom, I’ll be like, crying all day?'”
He said he has since had a conversation with his mother.
“She was just like, this is crazy, I can’t believe I just got a tattoo,” Geminis said.
